Victory

1 Corinthians  15:57 - But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanksgiving day was yesterday. Many people around the world counted their blessings which God gave them and rightfully so. Big meals were cooked, hungry people were fed by different organizations showing the love of God. Most families,Christian or not say grace over their Thanksgiving dinner. God is remembered for a short period of time how good he is to us. I personally am amazed how God worked in my families life this year. So thankful!!!

But throughout the day people that have lost loved ones this year came to my mind. Great loss, pain and suffering for them. Some were by long sickness or a terrible tradegy. Through out the day I lifted those people up to God in prayer and what God deposited in my spirit was the above scripture.

Take much comfort in knowing that your loved one, if they knew Jesus Christ as their savior went to heaven and is victoriously reigning with him.  We have victory in Jesus! No more suffering or pain when we leave here. A miraculous transition takes place immediately after a persons physical body dies. Yes, we no longer have that person here on earth with us, it is very sad for humans to experience, but Gods word say for us not to grieve like one that has no hope! Our hope is in him. Thanks be to our God that loved us so much that he gave his only begotten son, Jesus, to buy us back! God will carry you and yours by his grace to a place where the above promise becomes sweeter as the days go by.

We are victorious in Jesus Christ our Lord! I cannot praise him enough for giving me that victory! God bless each of you and I pray this devotion helps someone today. This devotion was written by the heart of Pat James.

  1. Thanksgiving was different this year with out daddy :( My daughter Mandy said that it helped her to know where he was and if he was still here on heart there would be suffering. I THANK JESUS for taking him home so he would feel no pain. I love you PJ. Thank you for writing this beautiful devotion. Pamela Britt Malone
