Suddenly Christmas

The shepherds and the Angels had a glorious time together just before Christs birth. I cannot fully imagine how the shepherds felt when the angel appeared to them as they were watching there flocks by night. They were minding there own business doing there normal routine. When all of a sudden an angel appears. Let's read Luke 2:10 and the angel said unto them, fear not: for, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Wow! A real angel was in the midst of them.  It must have been a jaw dropping moment! Then the angel proceeds with an awesome message V11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. What an unbelievable message! The angel proceeds in verse12 to tell them that this shall be a sign  unto them:  you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manager. And then, wow, if seeing an angel was not enough, all of a sudden  a multitude of the heavenly host of God shows up(v13)  praising God saying Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. The second message was as wonderful as the first.

God wanted the shepherds to know he loved them and the world so much that he was sending his son Jesus so they could be saved from their sins and peace would once again be in place between God and man. It was a suddenly to the shepherds! The good news was astounding, prophetic, and supernatural! How could this be they must have wondered? They probably said to each other "Did you see what I saw?".  And did I hear that right?  That a savior of the world was born this night? Suddenly it was Christmas!  Peace on earth good will toward men! What beautiful words. What a glorious night for us all! To know that gods will is for us to be saved and live in peace! Merry Christmas to all!
