Our Enemy

Eph. 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

I have come across this scripture several times over the last few days. It has caused me to really stop and think about the truth of it. Often times when people have wronged us or hurt us in some way it’s easy to place all the blame on them. The truth is, people are not our enemy, they are not who our battle is against. Regardless of what many may think Satan and his demons ARE real. AND just like our Heavenly Father he has a plan for our life. We see this plainly in 1 Peter 5:8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

However there is good news!!! The Word of God tells us that they must submit to the name of Jesus (Luke 10:17-19) The written Word of God (Matt. 4 and Luke 4) and the shed Blood of Jesus (Rev. 12:11) We have to daily confront our enemy!! Remind him that he is already a defeated foe!!!! Speak to him the name of Jesus!! Remind him that “it is written”!! Remind him of The Blood!! Jesus has already won our battle!!! Don’t let satan and his demons forget it!!!!!

This devotion was written from the heart of Beth Reed. I would love to hear from you.
