Tears will happen and that is ok, but do not let grief steal your joy. Don't let grief take a strong hold over your life. Cast all your grief and sorrow away. Turn to God and he will comfort you. "In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me. (Psalms 120:1 KJV)"
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18 NIV)" Isn't that comforting to know that God is always with us? He is close to the broken hearted. When we have times when we feel grief and sorrow hold on to the fact that these times will not last. This too shall pass.
"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NIV)"
Take comfort in knowing that Joy will come again. No matter what your grieving God can fill that void and take away your pain. We all feel sadness and pain at times and it's at those times we can find great comfort in The Lord.
"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (Psalms 30:5 KJV)"
