God is Faithful

Jesus Christ bought us so much when he became the sacrificial lamb of God for us. We focus a lot on the forgiveness of God through the blood of Jesus, and we should be forever grateful for his sacrifice. Let's look alittle deeper to see what else Jesus accomplished for us at the cross.

In Hebrews 10:19 to 23 the author speaks about Jesus becoming our high priest and through his blood we as believers can now come boldly to the holy place of God. He bought us a new and living way that the Old Testament Christians did not have access too. We can actually pray to God the Father directly and make our requests known to him. When he looks at us he sees the blood of Jesus not our weaknesses and sins. Here is the scripture I am referring to by the NLT version of the bible.

Heb10:19 - And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. V 20. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life- giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. V 21. And since we have a great high priest who rules over God's house, V 22 let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our quilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. V 23. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Gods is faithful to keep all the promises he has made to believers. Is it not wonderful to realize you are free to go into the most holy place and speak to the god of the universe if you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord? Jesus bought us a front row seat into the Fathers throne room! Praise god!! We can boldly go and speak to him. In Romans 8:15 the word says that we have not received a spirit of bondage again to fear, but we received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father! We have been adopted into Gods intimate family and are called his sons ands daughters! I do not know about you but that is shouting ground for me!

This devotion was written by the heart of Pat James via the Holy Spirit of God. May you be blessed this day and always. Please comment at ptrc_maher@yahoo.com
