Refuse to Fear

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18 KJV)

Many of us struggle with fear. It seems to be the one thing that just runs a muck throughout the entire body of Christ. Everyone seems to struggle with it in one way or another. I, myself have been delivered and set free from fear numerous times, but I always let it creep it's ugly face back in! This usually happens when I haven't been in the Word as often as I should (I'll get to that)...

Stress, anxiety, depression, worry, anger, rejection, bitterness, loneliness, hopelessness, sadness, feeling insecure... These things all stem from fear! What we have to remember is that fear is NOT from God!! He did not give us a spirit of fear!! It comes directly from Satan!!! Joyce Meyer says, "Everytime you fear, it is manifestation of the kingdom of darkness." Now I don't know about you, but I sure don't want any darkness being manifested in my life!!!! She calls fear the "master spirit". It's the spirit that Satan uses most to try to rule God's people!

As the scripture above says (and I can agree from personal experiences), living in fear can be pure torment! It can completely consume you. Fear itself is the absence of faith!! So, how do we get rid of it?? We increase our faith! We get deeper into the Word! We pray more! We cast the spirit of fear back down to the pit of Hell where it came from! We spend more time in the presence of God and learn to live in his perfect love!!! Because in his love, there is no fear!!!
