"Living the Life God Intended"

Hebrews 11:6
"And without faith it is impossible to please Him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe & He will reward those who seek Him."

Have you ever been at a point in your life that you wanted to just start over? That maybe you weren't living the life God intended for you? In (as short as possible) detail I would like to give my testimony.

I was with a man for six years who turned out to be the total opposite of the person I once knew. Drugs overtook his life & he became a horrible person. We had a child together & I dealt with everything that was thrown at our relationship because I didn't want my son living without his father. Through the drugs, the stealing, cheating, lying, verbal & physical abuse I kept praying to God to change him. Little did I know, God had bigger & better plans. As I was praying for God to change his heart, He was actually changing mine. He was giving me the strength to move forward with the life He intended for me & my son. Eventually, a few months after my son's first birthday we separated. I continued to pray that God's will be done in our life. I needed His guidance to get me where He knew I needed to be. Six months later a police officer filed a report for me, who happens to be the man God sent straight to us! He is the man GOD intended for me to spend the rest of my life with. He became my husband & a year later became Jay's "legal" father. We now have a precious daughter who has completed our family.

It is never to late to start over. God does not intend on us to live an unfit life. He wants us to rejoice in the life He has given us. If you are praying for God's will to be done in your life, don't ignore the prayers He may be answering because it's not what you had in mind. He may be answering them the way He sees for & His way is always the best way!!

  1. My dearest Kasey, thank you for sharing your heart! Twenty Eight years of marriage and the exact same scenario. I treated my marriage like my former husband had cancer. You would never leave someone who had cancer and after all I married for life!!!!! Sixteen years later and God is still piece by peace healing my heart :) NOW, I NEED PRAYERS FOR one of my most precious family members. Pray with me in Jesus name for God's perfect will. Please pray eyes will be open. Pray for great courage and strength and a sound mind in all decisions. Thank you for loving Jesus. Thank you for loving everyone who you reach out to in this devotion. Thank you for praying and standing with me in my personal struggle! You have greatly touched me today. Pamela Britt Malone

  2. Somethings being with an un- Godly man will help us to recognize a Godly man when we see him. Thank you for sharing and my prayer for all my Sisters In Christ is to recognize the Godly man He has intended for her when she sees him. In Christ's Name. Amen.
