Love.....The Epitome of AwakeningLIFE

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NLT)

Love is the key to showing Christ to the nations. Western civilization church has turned the gospel into a condemning, perfection demanding word. Does God demand such perfection from us? If he did, we are all in trouble my friends. The good news is that he does not. So why do we turn the word into a religious judge fest? I say WE because I am not exempt from that either. We get caught up in different stereotypes and mindsets especially given the area we live in. A solid 75% of the lost say, "I'll go to church when I get cleaned up". Why do they have that mindset? Because someone in the church planted that seed in them instead of loving them where they are. That religion is something that needs to change in Walker County. We can be that change. We can be the TRUE reflection of Christ. We ARE that change and that TRUE reflection of Christ.
I am so proud to be a part of a church that meets people where they are. A church that loves so purely and so unbiased. A church that is free from religion and all about reaching the lost. A church that is truly a church for the unchurched. You guys are awesome. From celebrate love, to the Sunday morning welcome of a visitor, AwakeningLIFE is an alive and legitimate example of the truth of Jesus. So my point is this my friends, let's remember every single day what the characteristics of love are. Let's continue to be a church that loves so deeply. Peoples lives are being changed. Whether it's from the heart of Mary Colburns willingness to serve or the joyous big smile/hug from miss Pammie and Tanya, or it be the heart of Pastor Anthony and Pastor Tim as our shepherd and protectors. Lives are being changed in every area, chains are being broken, and people are seeing the true love of Christ. So I just want to brag on you guys today and lift you guys up because you all absolutely rock!!! How do I know? I am one of the lives that has been changed by you guys being every characteristic of love shown above. I deeply and truly love each an every one of you!!!

Thanks for reading!!!!
