Setting a Godly Example for Others

"By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles" Matthew 7:16

How can we expect to bring others to Christ if we aren't shining His light? If we always complain & are unhappy then that doesn't make anyone want to live a Christian life? They see us unhappy, sad, depressed, & mad, & think "Who wants to live for Jesus if that's the way it makes you feel?". The devil wants to steal our joy & happiness. We have to stand up to him & never back down. He will do anything to keep others away from Christ. We, as Christians, can not let this happen. We have to show others that even if our life isn't perfect at the moment, we still have Jesus. We will look through the hard times & turn it into a time to rejoice. Of course, I know, we all have our times we are upset & stressed, but we have to remember God will see us through. We have to let go & let Him handle it. God gave me these words not only for others, but mainly myself. I am so hard on myself when it comes to being a Christian, being a mom, being a wife, my looks, my weight, etc. I have times I feel like I'm not good enough & I'm failing at everything. The devil does all he can to destroy me & sadly it works pretty often. Today I will make a resolution to be the Christian that God wants wants me to be. The one who doesn't let the devil steal her joy & happiness. The one who's light shines for everyone to see how great it is to live for Jesus Christ. We all need to think about the example we are setting for others around us. Is our example leading someone to Jesus or turning them away?
