No Pointing Fingers!!

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. (Colossians 3:13 NLT)

I have always always always been an either you love me or you hate me kind of person!! I honestly didn't care either way!!! I wanted people to like me and be my friend, but I didn't loose any sleep over it if they didn't!  I could be way to harsh and bluntly and obnoxiously honest that people have always thought I was a snob! And even though I never saw myself that way, God revealed these things to me and it broke my heart!!! I hated that I may have offended someone with being too honest or that I came off as if I didn't like them!! Now, I am constantly praying that people will see me as kindhearted and loving and sweet spirited!! I want the fruits of the spirit to be evident in my life!!

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
No one is perfect and everyone has things in their life that they need to work on! Some people are stubborn, some are arrogant. Some people wear their feelings on their sleeves! Some are easily offended while others are overly offensive!  Some people care too much and others don't care at all!!! We are all different!! And that's how God made us!! We may have personality clashes and need an attitude adjustment from time to time!! We need to be more forgiving of each other's character flaws! Instead of pointing each out what we don't like about other people lets just all try to work on ourselves! Ask God to show you the things about your attitude or personality that you need to fix!!!

  1. So proud of this devotion!! I have seen you grow so much in The Lord!!! My character flaws are being stubborn and caring way too much if people like me! Working on them :) I do have a prayer request for all who read today! My daughter is in her 2nd year of teaching at Homewood High School in Birmingham, Alabama! One of her 16 year old students died in a hunting accident :( She was extremely close to this child . Please lift up the child's family and my daughter today. We know the Holy Spirit is the only one who can comfort! Thank you all for your prayers. Pamela Britt Malone

  2. Great devotion! We constantly expect other people to overlook our flaws but are slow to overlook theirs. I work very hard to see the good in people. That to me is just part of doing unto others as I would have them do unto me. I want people to see the fruits of the Spirit in my life and forgive my moments of weakness when I give over to sin.
