Share Jesus!

Mark 4:26-28 NLT
Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground.  Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens.  The earth produces the crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens.

This scripture is so meaningful. When you look at it with you and I being the farmers, the seed scattered being the Word of God, and the hearts of those who hear it is the soil.

With modern technology we now  understand how the processes of photosynthesis and germination work. But, it still holds true that we don't know how the Word of God transforms people when it is sewn into there hearts and lives. God still works miracles and changes people from the inside out. We don't need to tend the crop, we simply have to scatter the seed. The word of God will return a harvest no matter what. It will bear fruit faithfully. However, God needs us. He has called us to be His arms and legs, The Body of Christ. We are the farmers. If we Christians don't sew the seed, no else one will.

I have heard it said quite a few times that we may be the only Bible some people ever read. So live it out loud! Immerse yourself in His word so completely that it overflows from your heart and your actions and your mouth  every where you go.

John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word and and the Word was with God, and the word was God. And John 1:14 says And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. So here we find in very plain words that Jesus is the Word of God! Through Him all things were created and with out Him nothing was created. So when we read the Word and hide it like a treasure in our hearts, Jesus grows in us! And when Jesus grows in us it becomes impossible to hide Him. So when we go through our daily lives, people see Jesus in us and then they want Him in their hearts and in their lives!

Sharing the Word with everyone is a commandment. Probably the third most important. It being just under love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 16:15 says And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. And so we were commanded!

I always wind up challenging you guys at the end of my devotions. This one is no different. I challenge all of you to preach the gospel not only with your words but with your life and your actions, to everyone you encounter. At work, at the gas station, at Wal-Mart, ball fields, schools, ect. Where ever you go, share Jesus with this lost and dying world. And the good thing about Jesus is the more you share Him with others, the more of Him you will have. He doesn't deplete like everything else in this world. He becomes more when you need Him and let Him. And I don't know about you but I need more Jesus in my life!

Thank you for reading my devotion. The holy spirit gave it to me just for you! If you would like prayer or just need to talk,

please e-mail me atchassidyhester@gmail.com. Thanks!
