1. Cor. 2:5 - that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
In Paul's first letter to the Corinthians he tells them that when he came to them his preaching was not words of human wisdom but of the Spirit. In chapter 2 verse 5 he tells them why, so that their faith would be in the power of God not the wisdom of men.
There is nothing wrong with having someone to talk to in times of trouble. A pastor, friend or family member. These people can be very helpful. God can use them to bring comfort and help to us. However, we must always remember to keep our faith in God and His power and not in other people. Our Father will never let us down! He is all powerful!
There may be times in our lives when we feel like God has forgotten us. Keep faith in His power! Whatever the circumstance, whatever the obstacle keep faith in His power! He never leaves us nor forsakes us. Keep faith in His power! God's time and our time are sometimes (well, usually) not the same. Keep faith in His power!
The Lord is fighting for you, you need only to hold your peace (Ex. 14:14) and Keep faith in His power!!
This post was written from the heart of Beth Reed. My prayer this week is that each of us will always remember where our faith should be....... In His power.
