Knowledge is power!!

Hosea 4:6 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Almost daily I hear people talk about how busy they are. They are to busy to attend church. They are to busy to join a LifeGroup. They are to busy to pray. They are to busy to open The Word of God and listen to what He has to say to them. But the words in Hosea are very clear. LACK OF KNOWLEDGE IS DESTRUCTIVE!!!

Lack of knowledge of The Word of God leaves us without scripture to stand on in times of trouble. It leaves us without the words to battle the enemy when he is on the attack. And he WILL attack!!!  (Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Pet. 5:8) But, when we take the time to get into The Word of God, we are prepared for whatever the evil on can throw at us!! When we commit to a LifeGroup we gain knowledge from the study and from other members of the group. When we attend services, The Lord will teach us something in Sunday school, Praise & Worship or through the message from the pastor.

His word is there for us!!!  It is powerful!! The word of God is living and effective and sharper than any two edged sword, !!!  (Heb. 4:12)

I have learned over my life just how destructive lack of knowledge can be. I have gone through battles that would have been a lot easier if I had more knowledge of The Word of God. I have committed myself to becoming more knowledgeable of God and His Word! I pray you will too!!

This post was written from the heart of Beth Reed. I pray that it touched you in some way. I would love to hear your comments.

  1. Boy are you correct Beth! If you have the word of God deep down in your heart then when a crisis comes your way the WORD will flow out of your mouth like a river!! If you have spent no time in the word then you will struggle and fret and the devil will (excuse my language) kick your bottom all over town! It is very simple to me! We must take the time to dig in the word and store it deep in our hearts; then when the the devil is on the attack the battle is on and you my friends will be ready to attack in Jesus name!
