You are Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:13, 14 NIV)

Growing up, I had horrible self-esteem issues. I could never be happy with the way I looked, with the way I talked and I was constantly worrying what others thought of me. Unfortunately many teens and adults suffer from this too. It took many years and completely searching God for me to be happy with who I am! Happy with who God made me to be! In Psalms it says God knitted us together. The God of this universe made me from scratch EXACTLY the way he wanted me to be and he did the same to you. Why should we be so worried about what others think of us when God created us and everything he makes is wonderful!! YOU are fearfully and wonderfully made!!

But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance or at the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7 AMP)

I believe the problem is we have confused what true beauty is!! True beauty is in the heart. In 1 Samuel it says man will look at the outward appearance, but God looks into your heart. We are focused on the wrong thing!! No longer will i let my self worth be controlled by others!! I want to have a pure heart. I want to be focused on God and what God thinks of me rather than what people think about me!!

I hope this has helped open your eyes to what you see as beautiful!! Our self-worth is not determined by other people!! Please leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts!!
