It's All About Forgiveness

Ephesians 4:32
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Has someone ever hurt you so badly that you feel like you could never ever forgive them?? I know that from personal experience that this can be one of the hardest pills to swallow but it is absolutely essential that you do!!!
Unforgiveness is a deadly poison that can literally kill you spiritually, and make you pretty miserable physically as well!!
It opens up doors for the devil to torture your mind causing all kinds of depression, anger, bitterness, and even hatred!! This is so dangerous. These feelings are sinful and must be repented from!

God sent his perfect son to come and die for our sins! To die for every wrong thing we have ever done!! With his death came forgiveness!! And he commands that we do the same! That we forgive those who sin against us.

In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus said "if you forgive those who sin against you, your Heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins." How sad it is to think that Jesus died for nothing because we refuse to let something that someone has done to us go!!

So, I urge you, if there is any unforgiveness in your heart, please repent of it TODAY!!! It can sometimes be a daily battle. A very dear lady told me not too long ago ( when I was dealing with some unforgiveness ) to speak out loud, "it is the will of my heart to forgive _______ for what they have done to me!!!!!" This is so liberating and you will feel immediate relief of any sinful emotions that come along with unforgiveness!

  1. A year or two after my divorce I read in a Joel Osteen book that we can't move on with what God has planed for our future as long as we are holding on to unforgiveness for the past. This really impacted me!!! But more improtant is that God will not forgive us if we want forgive others. Forgiving is hard when you have been deeply hurt. But it's for or ourselves than the other person. Thanks for the great reminder!!!

  2. A great devotion baby and so true. Life is not fair and has not been fair since Adam and Eve. It's what we do with our lives that counts!!! We can let the devil control our lives or stand firm on the word of God, FORGIVE and be free!!!!!
