I hope they see You in me.

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. NLT Romans 12:2

The first devotion I wrote for Awakening Your Day was about standing out from the crowd and how in Romans it says we should not copy the behavior of this world. We were made to be set apart and stand out from others. I would like to go more in detail about that and the importance of it. I think I can sum it up with a song lyric from one of my favorite bands, Thousand Foot Krutch.

"And when they say they don't believe, I hope they see You in me."

This single lyric brings tears to my eyes. That is exactly how I want to live my life. I want others to see Christ through me. Even if they don't believe, I want them to see a noticeable difference in me. Not that I am perfect, but even through my trials and imperfections that I have hope. And I'm trusting in something they may not believe, but they want that hope. They want to have the same peace I have. We should live our lives in such a way that people see a noticeable difference in us. I'm the youth pastor at Awakening Life and I tell the youth and young adults, the best thing they can do to help their unsaved friends, family members and even parents other than prayer, is to be that light in their life.

Live your life in such away that even when people say they don't believe, they see Jesus in you!!!!
