What good can come of this???
If you are like me, there have been circumstances in your life that have caused you to ask this question. The word of God tells us in Rom. "and we know that all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose."
It does not say that all things are good!! It does not say that we will never have trials, hard times, broken hearts, and broken lives. What it does say is that God will turn these situations into good for those who love him!!
In my first post I shared my hearts prayer for the Lord to send me the one He created me for. There was a time several years ago when I thought I had all I had ever prayed for. But, that did not turn out the way I hoped. Many times I asked Why me????? What good can come of this????? Years went by and my heart began to heal. But, I still couldn't see how any good could come of this situation. I knew my Heavenly Father hated divorce!! Then one day a young lady who is very precious to me and whom I have loved from the day she was born asked for my help. You see she was going through the same thing. This is when the question was answered for me! At that moment I was actually thankful (yes, I said thankful) for the path my life had taken. The Lord showed me that because I had gone through a broken marriage He was able to use me to help this one so dear to me! But not only this one but other's who have been brought into my path.
We all have a story to tell! We all have a scar that has formed over a hurt and broken part of us. Many times we want to hide them. We don't want the world to know that our lives are not and have never been perfect! But like the book by Sharon Jaynes says, “Your Scars Are Beautiful to God”. They are proof of healing!!
God will answer this question for you as well. How do I know? Because the word of God tells me!! Acts - "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons."
This post was written from the heart of Beth Reed. I hope it touched you in some way. I pray that it will inspire you to let your Heavenly Father show you the good that can come of your situation. Please feel free to comment. I would love to hear you thoughts.
