Freedom of Forgiveness

Matthew 6:14-15 NLT version

14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Wow! The bible is really clear on unforgiveness! It says very clearly: if we do not forgive others then God is not going to forgive us! I don't know about you but I fail daily as a Christian and I need forgiveness!!!

My Gran Gran says it the best to me. She said The Lord taught her many years ago this demonstration and it really burned into her spirit. She says to stretch out your arms and open your hands with your palms facing up. She says that is what our lives are life when we walk in forgiveness! We are open to receive blessings from God! The next demonstration is to stretch out your arms and open your hands with your palms facing up also. Then clench your hands into fist as tight as you can! Wow! She says God told her that is how we live if we choose to not forgive. We are spiritually closed and cannot revive God's blessings! That is definitely not a place that I would ever want to be!!!

I know a lot people have a hard time with forgiveness but remember we can do nothing without God! Ask God to help you with the forgiveness process! What seems impossible to man is possible with  God.

Choose to forgive those who have wronged you. Even if you think they don't deserve to be forgiven. Do it because God has commanded us to. Choose to live in freedom today!!!

This forgiveness devotion was from the heart of Mandy Robertson! ❤ Please comment below! You never know! Your personal story or comment could help others!!!

  1. Most people think forgiveness is about the other person. Forgiveness is about ourselves. The word is very clear!! We are all human and are going to make mistakes and bad choices. But we have to walk in forgiveness!! Forgiveness of others AND forgiveness of ourself!!

  2. Very good Mandy and our Church is very blessed to have a strong Christian prayer warrior to teach us the ways of God. My trouble is forgiving myself. I struggle with if I could have done something different to save my marriage. The truth is that I really did everything to save it and now I am on my path to walk in total forgiveness and I pray Dailey for him and his wife's salvation and happy marriage! All things are possible through Christ!
